FYP 2 : Week3 ~ FYP2 Briefing 1

Week 3 ~ FYP2 Briefing 1

For the week 3 on 27/9 (Firday). The FYP 2 briefing 1 is degree and diploma student combine together at TTL 1, the time start from 4.00pm until 5.00pm. The briefing is talk about FYP development, project progress report ( Log Book/ Blog ) and Attendance student. The FYP2 briefing 1 is handle by Sir Mohd Zubir B Suboh And then, Sir Zubir present the slide show to explain how to research which is a good project and format of proposal. 

Sir Zubir also have talk about the assessment of FYP 2.

1. Progress report - 30%

2. Product Dome - 35%

3. Final Report - 35%

After that, Sir Zubir reminded FYP students need to update project progress weekly and submit on week 15 the blog. Then, talk about the presentation will be on week 14 for FYP Degree 2. Lastly, talk about project final report need submit before week 15 and other copy report submit to library on week 17.

Sir Zubir, given some tips about how to finish early the project.

1. week1-week3

    -Met back own supervisor.

    -Start and keep updating blog.

2. Week4-Week6

    -Discuss with supervisor the hardware and the software.

    -Design the PCB and Construct the circuit.

3. Week7-Week9

    -Complete final product.

4. week10-week12

    -Design the poster

    -Design casing of project.

5. week13-week14

    -prepare for FYP2 presentation.

    -presentation during the day of FYP.

FYP 2 : Week 2~ Make sure the Hardware with Supervisor

Week 2 - Make sure the Hardware with my Supervisor.

For the week 2 on 20/9 (Friday), I going to met my Supervisor to asking how about my hardware it is suitable to my project. The RFID reader, motion sensor and Smart card is ok. But the controller have problem about that, this is because micromedia LCD touch screen controller  is difference with Smart GLCD Touch Screen. The Smart GLCD is have bigger size microprocessor and easy to upload program inside the PIC-18F87K22. And then, have many function of the controller such as buzzer, touch screen, mircoSD card and USB connector. Can refer the figure 1 below.

After that, Supervisor suggest need add read time clock hardware, because want to read the Date and Time during student after scan the smart card. For the model of the read time clock is RTC2. Can refer Figure 2 below.

FYP 2 : Week 1 ~ Met Supervisor

Welcome Back to my Blog here, But this is FYP 2 blog....^.^....

Week 1- Met Supervisor and Discuss the my progress.

Start the new semester is my last semester also is my Final Year Project 2.....For the week 1 i will going to met my Supervisor Dr. Amir Bin Abas. Discuss my hardware of my research and given to my Supervisor model of the hardware to let Supervisor check the Hardware is suitable to my project or not. Model of the hardware i research is Smart Card, Mircomedia LCD touch screen controller, RFID reader and motion sensor.
